Young and eager, Ensign Pavel Chekov manned the Enterprise's navigation console, and also filled in at Spock's science station when needed. Chekov tended to think that most important inventions originated in Russia, his place of birth. A talented navigator, Chekov was an instrumental member of Captain Kirk's bridge crew.
Character was played by Walter Koenig in the TV series Star Trek.
